R (アール, aru) is one of the mascot characters in Summon Night 3. He only appear in the story if the player chooses Nup as the student
Background[]
A little robot from Loreilal that saved Nup from being attacked by stray summons in the Forgotten Island beach. They immediately became inseparable friends. It seems he had the letter “R” written on his belly, that’s why Nup named him this way. He can't speak human language, but he often tries to comunicate with sounds like: "Ga Ga Ga" or Pi-Piiii!".
Development[]
It is later revealed that R was sent by Hainel's spirit to keep a watch in the protagonist and Shartos, He was also to protect Nup in case the sword power got out of control. When summoned at Level 3, he calls for robotic parts that come flying in the screen, they combine and R becomes a giant mech.
